Christian Pulisic was Injured During the 2022 World Cup

Christian Pulisic will “hopefully” play against the Netherlands, according to US Men’s National Team (USMNT) coach Gregg Berhalter.

Pulisic sent while scoring the game-winning goal, sustained an abdominal injury and taken to the hospital in the United States 1-0 victory against Iran for the World Cup in Qatar.

Pulisic, who collided with the Iranian goalkeeper after scoring, underwent medical scans but “was not hospitalized,” according to an email from a US Soccer spokesperson to OKBET.

The club said in a social media post that Pulisic diagnosed with a pelvic injury. His playing status is day-to-day.

“He appears to be doing well; I just talked with him a few minutes ago,” Berhalter said on Wednesday’s CNN This Morning.

“We have high hopes for his capacity to play against the Netherlands. Regarding his impact on the team, I’ve always remarked, “You know you’re in excellent shape when one of your most skilled players is also one of your hardest workers.”

As the rest of the team arrived at the team hotel, Pulisic greeted them. In a video provided by USMNT officials on Twitter, the 24-year-old is filming his teammates passing past a roaring crowd in the lobby while wearing a broad grin.

FOX Sports, the host network for the 2018 FIFA World Cup, posted an image of Pulisic in what seems to be a hospital bed with the message, “So f**king proud of my boys. I’ll be ready on Saturday, don’t worry.” The Twitter record of the US Men’s National Soccer Team reposted the Fox Sports message.

Pulisic did not address his status when he posted the following on his verified Instagram account: “We can’t put what this means to us into words! Let’s go, @usmnt.”

In a nerve-wracking Group B final at Qatar 2022. The USMNT defeated Iran by a score of 1-0 to secure a spot in the round of 16.

Pulisic Returned to Play Shortly but was Still Injured.

Pulisic’s first-half goal was the only difference for the first time in the competition. Since 2014, however, joy turn to concern when it became apparent that the star injured while scoring the game-winning goal, causing the Chelsea player to helped off the field by medical personnel.

Pulisic quickly returned to the field but was still fighting with the injury. Pulisic received man-of-the-match accolades after playing just one half.

On Saturday, the USMNT will be hopeful its top player, called “Captain America” by some, is well enough to play. As the runner-up of Group B, the United States will meet the eighth-ranked Netherlands, which won Group A.
