Due to the deal, the Celtics will lose five players and a first-round pick in 2023. None of the players returning to the Pacers is considered a core player for Boston.
The Pacers will get Malik Fitts, Juwan Morgan, Aaron Nesmith, Nik Stauskas, and Daniel Theis in exchange for Brogdon.
Last season, Brogdon, who is 29 years old, averaged 19.1 points and 5.9 assists per game. After his 1st year in the NBA, he won the Rookie of the Year award with the Milwaukee Bucks. He has been a stable player throughout his career, averaging 15.5 points and 4.8 assists over six seasons.
Brogdon’s contract has three more years to go. He’ll make just over $22 million in the next three seasons.
